Handfasting Ceremony
A Handfasting Ceremony is part of an ancient custom that gave us the phrase, “ Tying the knot.”
Scotland, Ireland and other Celtic lands formerly recognised Handfasting as a marriage – just as binding as one performed in a Church. Handfasting has also been called a Celtic marriage or Hand-wrapping.
I offer bespoke Handfasting Ceremonies - each Ceremony is completely unique to the couple. It is a beautiful way to declare your love in front of family and friends. It involves wrapping one or more ribbons around the hands, music of the couple's choice and a blessing, poem or prayer. This is the basic format - and it can be embellished in whatever manner the couple chooses!
